We are certain that your new – born is the reason behind your smiley face and you are all readied to take day and night care of your baby. In this hustle don’t forget to miss out on your baby’s bathing essentials.

Baby Bath 1

Here’s a rundown of required items, products, and techniques.

  • Bathing Supplies: First step in bathing your baby is to gather all the essential baby bathing supplies. So before you begin, make a concise list, which includes soft towel and clothes, mild shampoo and soap, moisturiser, powder and a clean diaper.
  • Water: If the baby is not 4 weeks old then you don’t need to give bath in a tub. You can simply give a sponge bath. For babies more than 4 weeks: fill the water in small wide bucket with about 3inch of mild warm water.
  • Baby Grip: Hold your baby gently with a proper grip. Never leave your baby in the water alone, it can panic him and there are chances that water might enter into his ear and eyes. You can gradually place the baby in the tub, supporting her/his head, neck and back.
  • Use mild soap and shampoo: Too much use of soap and water can dry your babies’ skin. Focus while applying the soap and shampoo since it can easily contact with your baby’s eye. This can create burning and itching sensation of his eyes. Start washing her/her head/ face area and then move to other parts of the body. Routine wash is suggested to wash private parts of your baby.
  • Post bath: Wrap your baby in a soft towel to pat him/her dry. Later, you can apply baby lotion and powder. Your baby is now decked up for the day.

End the bathing process by giving a warm hug.

Things to remember while bathing your baby:

Caution! Caution! Caution!

  • Never attempt to leave your baby alone in the water or under running water. The water can really get deep and the baby might drown.
  • Before you put your baby in the water do check the temperature of the water. Too hot water can give burns to your baby, luke warm water is always preferable.
  • Never try giving your baby a really cold water bath. Because babies tend to get cold & hypothermia quickly.

How to engage your little one with in-house activities during the monsoons!

After the scorching summers, the rains are a much-needed relief. Monsoons are fun! The refreshing smell in the air with the cool breeze, frogs croaking in the garden and butterflies are dancing in the lawn. While this is certainly something to cheer about, there is one problem! Babies and toddlers have to stay indoors. They can’t step out to play their usual evening games with their friends as parents are scared that they will catch infection during this time.

But let’s admit it. This season brings out the child inside anyone! Making paper boats and having competitions, warm cups of a chocolate milkshake or buying new colorful raincoats.

So make this season fun for your child as well. Here are different ways you can make your child’s most boring season, into something more joyful!

21] Art and craft:

Unleash your child’s creativity this monsoon. Let them explore their creative side. Get them innovative stationery like textured paper, colour pencils, crayons, etc. Teach them how to make items out of waste and old papers. It is also fun to try your hands on something imaginative. They will feel happy and encouraged. http://13.126.47.98/blog_/?p=401

2] Movie Time:

It’s also fun to watch some animated movies with some homemade popcorn and other snacks. Then why not enjoy the same with your child. Stack up few DVDs and snuggle up with your young one on the couch while watching fun baby movies like Baby’s Day Out or Heyy Baby. It will keep them occupied for a good amount of time and they will enjoy it too.

3] Cook together:

Some of our little one’s always enjoy pretending like they are the world’s best chefs. So, make their role play a real thing for them! It could be a family activity which you plan to do together and also at the same time teaching the young one something new. Teach them easy recipes like sandwich, salad or biscuit snackers which do not involve cooking with fire!

5

4] Card or Board Games:

Rains are the best time to get the cards and the board games outside. Instead of the child playing games alone on the tablets or the computer, the whole family can join in and play together! You can teach them games you played as a kid with your friends and family.

5] Story Time:

One of the best feelings in this pleasant climate is to sip hot coffee and read a book. So why not let your kids enjoy the same feeling? Indulge in some storytelling for your young one. You can get them animated and pictorial books to make it more interesting and fun for the child.

6]  Water play at home:
Most parents don’t want to risk taking their child outside during the rains, but you can create the same environment for them inside the house, in a safer way. Set up an alternate water play at home. Collect some water in a tub or a bucket. They can make small paper boats and play inside the tub. This will keep them away from infection and make it enjoyable too!

Why it’s important for every parent to spend quality time with their new-born

Parenting is a fun, emotional and yet a tough journey; one needs a lot of patience to raise children. Parents have to understand babies and handle them with care in a friendly and patient manner, no matter what age they are.

Every parent intends to raise a happy, smart and well-adjusted child. Children from birth to adulthood need time and attention from their parents. Parents are often anxious to raise a “successful” child and they overlook the importance of spending time with them or interacting personally with the child. Quality time is the time when both child and parents are fully engaged in an activity together and enjoy the same.

1

The ultimate motive behind spending quality time with the new-born is to love, understand, and develop your child as a happy, well-adjusted, and contributing member of society. If the relationship between parent and child is unhealthy, there are several negative outcomes when the child or adolescent does not receive the right love, attention, and guidance from the parents.

2

There’s no particular way to build a strong relationship with the child – every family has to figure it out for themselves. There will be times when the parents don’t or can’t do what they would like to do for the child, but if proper quality time is spent it would lead to positive relationship between the newborn and the parent.

The relationship can be built by:

1] Playing with the Baby – It’s really very important for new parents to play with their babies as much as they can. Parents should engage playing games like peekaboo, playing soft toys etc. with their newborn as it helps to develop a bond with them and it also makes the newborn explore other things.

3

2] Baby Bathing – Give a bath to your baby every day is a great way to develop a bond with your child. It is helpful in developing the ability to recognize their parent’s touch and also it helps them to get familiar with a particular surrounding

43] Taking your baby for a stroll – Taking your baby out for rounds from a very young age helps in making the baby adjusted to the surroundings out there and also during this period there are chances for the baby to develop a close bond with their parents

5

4] Being in the moment with the newborn – Being in the moment would be giving attention to the new-born so that the child feels valued and loved. This kind of attention doesn’t have to be a big deal – the parent just needs to be in that moment mentally, physically and emotionally with the new-born.

6

Taking some time out every day for the baby. Also scheduling a time exclusively for you and your child. Be sure that you do not get interrupted and disturbed. This exclusive time can be anytime during the day, just before bedtime and lead to giving bedtime story lessons to the child or right after coming from your office or after some time. Keeping in mind that the child will be waiting at that time and there should not be any distractions.

7

If you’re expecting a baby and thinking what best you can do to strengthen the bond with your upcoming baby you must think about preserving your baby’s umbilical cord blood and strengthen the cord of love.

Preserving this eternal bond not only helps you secure a healthy future for your child but also builds a connection right from the time of birth!
