Everything you need to know about your second Trimester

When you are in your second trimester, it will be around your 13-14th week of your pregnancy. All the troubling symptoms like fatigue and morning sickness come to a halt and your mood also lightens up. You will feel healthier, energetic and all the small kicks start around this time. It is the most awaited trimester for all to-be-moms with lush hair and the facial glow!
The Second Trimester:-
The second trimester of your pregnancy is from week 13 to week 28, roughly the fourth, fifth and sixth month of your pregnancy. This is the fun and smooth period of your pregnancy and you will be more relaxed. As you go through the second trimester, you’ll gradually see your ‘bump’ grow and also feel your baby moving.

You will feel an upswing in your mood and feel fully energized. Working out is important during this time. Your baby is about 4 inches long. All the tiny organs, nerves, and muscles start functioning. The intestines, kidney, and pancreas function fully.

Week fifteen
You’re probably still feeling pretty great, but keep an eye out for changes in your appearance. The baby’s nose, lips and taste buds are formed. The head is covered by a fine, soft hair.

Week sixteen
Around this time you will feel the baby’s movements! You may also feel the child pulling and grabbing the umbilical cord. The circulatory system and urinary tract are fully working, and he’s inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid through his lungs.

Week seventeen

Week twenty – two

Your child is able to hear properly.  He/ she is able to identify your voice. The child can now hear your heartbeat and your stomach rumbling too. You may be moody and clumsy during this time. You may even have bleeding gums while you brush, but there is nothing to worry about.

Week twenty – four

By this time the child’s brain is growing rapidly. You may be noticing faint, red or brown streaks known as stretch marks on your abdomen and hips. Also, at this point, you may feel your eyes are dry. Use some mild eye drops.

Week twenty – five

This week the baby is more responsive to touch. It is important to get all your tests done as gestational diabetes is detected around this time. Cramps are common during this time.

Week twenty – seven
