Parkinson's Disease (PD)

Parkinson's Disease is a very common neurodegenerative disorder caused by loss of dopamine (neurotransmitter) producing neuron. People with Parkinson's can find that other issues, such as tiredness, pain, depression and constipation, can have an impact on their day-to-day lives.

The umbilical cord tissue provides a rich source of primitive human umbilical cord MSCs which have the potential for transplantation-based treatments of PD. Human umbilical cord MSCs isolated from umbilical cord were induced to transform into dopaminergic neurons through cell culture, the success rate was good.
